Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the dockbison.com website and the DockBison harbor management application (together, the "Service"), operated by Dockbison LLC ("Dockbison", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of the Service

DockBison is a multi-harbor boat and dock management platform. Boaters can pay for transient stays and other dock services at participating harbors. Harbor staff manage operations through a point-of-sale interface. Payments are processed by Square; each harbor connects its own Square account.

3. Accounts and Authentication

Account access uses one-time codes sent via SMS or email to a contact you provide. You are responsible for keeping your phone, email, and any device used to access the Service secure.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Square. Card and customer storage, charges, refunds, and webhooks flow through your harbor's Square account. Disputes regarding charges should be raised with the operating harbor first; Dockbison may assist but is not the merchant of record.

4a. Saved Cards on File

When you save a card to your DockBison profile, you authorize the harbor where it was saved to charge that card for your stays, add-ons, fees, and other purchases at that harbor - including invoices issued to your boat. Cards stay on file until you remove them or the harbor disables them.

Harbor staff may save a card to your profile in connection with a transaction at the harbor - for example, after running a payment in person. By providing your card to harbor staff during a transaction, you authorize the harbor to keep that card on file under the same terms as a card you added yourself.

5. SMS / Text Messaging

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Dockbison LLC, including account verification codes, payment receipts, and receipt links that may include marina access information for purchased services. 6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you do not own.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except where permitted by law.
• Submit fraudulent payment information or chargebacks.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, logos, text, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by Dockbison LLC or its licensors.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCKBISON LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
